Why by appointment only?
Green Buddha Patient Co-op is a small authentic collective run with an all volunteer staff. Unlike most dispensaries and co-ops we chose to spend most of our resources on procuring quality meds. We chose to spend less money than most dispensaries on staffing, advertizing and office maintainence. Places that spend money on staffing, advertizing and fine office furniture are obviously spending less on the medicine they procure for you. Green Buddha Patient Co-op is recognized in the industry as paying the most for meds and when you pay the most for meds, you get the best! Come experience the more homey alternative to "California styled dispensaries."
I don't want to smoke - what can I find at Green Buddha?
There are three modes for taking medical marijuana in, by inhalation, by subligual application and by eatting a medible. Each mode has pros and cons. Inhaling marijuana either by smoking or better yet vaporizing has the advantage of easy self-titration and immediacy. The subligual and edible methods are more discreet and allow you to use in a public setting. The sublingual mode takes about 20 minutes to achieve effect and proper medibles take a full two hours to come on. Medibles last the longest - as the medicine stays active in your system for up to seven hours, compared to only three to four hours if inhaling medicine.

We are located in the friendly neighborhood of Ravenna in north Seattle. There's excellent street parking available and of course we are fully ADA compliant and wheel chair accessible.

How to join the Green Buddha Patient Co-op
If you are a legal medical marijuana patient in Washington State we would welcome you as a member into our collective. Joining Green Buddha is easy, and there is no cost to join and no annual fees.
In order to apply to the Green Buddha Patient Co-op you must already possess a valid Washington State medical marijuana authorization signed by your health care professional as well as a Washington State photo ID. The authorization is a full size sheet of tamper proof paper signed by your health care professional that allows you to use medical marijuana. We require the particulars on your authorization before your first visit to our office, so we may verify with your health care professional that the authorization is valid. This is a legal requirement. Once this one-time verification has occured we can set you up for your first appointment.
Please note that all sessions at the Green Buddha Co-op are by appointment, which can be set up either by email or a call (206) 297-9640. Please never arrive at the Green Buddha office without an appointment. This facilitates the safety and smooth operation of our facility. Thank you!
You can send us your authorization in one of three ways:
1) Fax a copy of your authorization as well as your Washington State photo ID to our office, along with both your telephone AND your email address if you have one. Our fax number is (206) 297-9641.
2) Scan both your authorization as well as your Washington State photo ID and email them us. Be certain to also provide us with your phone number.
3) You can email or call and provide us with the name of your authorizing health care professional, their Washington State license number as well as the name of the medical facility, the date your authorization was signed, your date of birth, your legal address and telephone number.
Once we get the particulars on your authorization we will quickly verify the information (within 24 hours max) and then you are good for making appointments at our office in the future. This verification is a one-time process.
Your first appointment is generally also an orientation where we discuss the legal issues of medical marijuana in Washington State; the use of vaporizers versus smoking; how we organize our meds in terms of indicas or sativas and finally a discussion of edibles and how they work best. If you are already knowledgeable on medical marijuana we can make the orientation as brief as possible.
Each time arriving at the Green Buddha Office
The Green Buddha office is located in the Ravenna neighborhood in north Seattle. We have excellent street parking available in this quiet safe liberal locality.
Each time you arrive at the Green Buddha office for your appointment you must have in hand your original authorization as well as your Washington State photo ID. This is a legal requirement and we will check to make sure you have these documents so we're all in compliance.
If you think you are running more than 30 minutes late please contact our office so we know if you are still intending to arrive. This is particularly important if your appointment is at the end of the day. If you arrive up to 30 minutes early please feel free to come on in. If you arrive before we are open, please do not wait at our door as this attracts the wrong attention and appears unneighborly.
Finally we are a cash only establishment, which serves the best legal and safety interests of patients. There are a number of convenient cash machines and banks in the area if needed.
